Annabelle Gurwitch

Annabelle Gurwitch was an American comedian, actress and TV host. Particularly known for her role as the hostess for Dinner and a Movie (TBS) and activist in environmental and secular issues. Annabelle Gurwitch, a New York Times best-selling author as well as a an internationally acclaimed actress, wrote the New York Times bestseller of Wherever You Are There They are I See You Made An Effort To You Say Tomato When you say Fired, I Say Shut up and She's Fired. Also, this was one of Showtime Comedy Special. Gurwitch was the longest-running host on the TBS show Dinner & a Movie and people watching television remember her memorable appearances on programs including Better Things Boston Legal Seinfeld Dexter Murphy Brown and also as the host of the series on sustainability WA$TED which airs on The Planet Green Network. She makes regular appearances in PBS Newhour Real Time with Bill Maher and on NPR as well as penning op-eds for New York Times WSJ The Hollywood Reporter and satire pieces for The New Yorker and McSweeeneys. The actress has been praised by the media for her performances on the stage in The New York Times and Los Angeles Times. Annabelle's wisdom, and hilarious story of aging amid a culture obsessed by youth is broadcast. The show has played at theater festivals around the globe, including the 1992nd St Y Prevention Magazine AARP Events and Ladies Nights of Women's Groups nationwide. Annabelle examines the worth and foolishness of families and the one that we were raised in and our families that we join.
