Jessica went through the script and realized that the character would need the training for weapons. She recorded her first lesson with a professional following reading it. According to Jonathan Glassner, the stunt team was amazed by how well she performed in her first class. Jessica had never been in an important role prior to the US because all of her filmography was shot in Australia. Jessica's enthusiasm for action is evident in her character as she demonstrates mixed martial arts and horses riding abilities, as well as her weapons and athletic capabilities. Additionally, she can perform the stunts that make her the strength of a female persona. In Australia she learned muay Thai as well as boxing. Jake Stormoen encountered a roaming pet while shooting Season 4. The puppy was residing within one of the locations. Jessica took care of two pups.
